Getting the following error mpt3sas_cm0: log_info(0x31080000): originator(PL), code(0x08), sub_code(0x0000)

I have two LSI HBA Controllers (one 8 Port & one 16 Port). I have attached the diagnostics file for review.

The errors are coming from this disk:

Model Family: Seagate Exos X16

Device Model: ST14000NM001G-2KJ103

Serial Number: ZLW1VV7C

It is not giving a valid SMART report, try swapping cables with a different one, but possibly it's a bad disk.

Thanks

This is hooked to a 8643 to 8643 SAS cable. I guess I'll try and run the extended smart?

Not worth it IMHO with all those errors and no valid SMART report; swap slots with a different disk, but most likely it's a bad disk.

Thanks a bunch! I'll do that when I can shut the server down. It's probably a bad Drive I bought a half dozen and it's likely one is bad. At least it's under warranty
