Unraid won't boot

Featured Replies

So the other day I rebooted my UDMP and my Unraid server did not come back online. I rebooted it and now it will not boot. I have tried brand new flash drives using the creator tool, fresh flash of a new Unraid file, all the USB ports, and I used the flash drive in a laptop and got it to boot Unraid. I do see a message about an unknown filesyste type 'efivarfs' that only seems to appear when I try to boot up on the server. I did not see this message on the laptop that was able to boot Unraid. I did a memtest and it passed. I do not know where to go from here.

Try recreating the flash drive, first backup the current one, then recreate it using the USB tool, confirm the flash drive boots with the stock install, and if yes, restore only the /config folder from the backup overwriting any existing files.

Curious if you read my post? I have tried every possible configuration with the flash drive. Reflashed with a fresh install on old flash drive and new flash drives. I have tried an old back up, all usb ports, and nothing works. I have used the flash drive on an old laptop and got Unraid to load.

Sorry, only looked at the photo, since it's a common issue.

If a new flash drive with a stock install, before restoring any backups, doesn't boot, there's likely some hardware issue.

This is harmless; it shows for everyone doing a UEFI boot, it no longer shows with 7.2.0-beta.1

I used a usb with proxmox on it and I was able to get to the install screen. No I did not install proxmox on the server.

in proxmox when making the VM you want to make sure you don't enroll the secure boot keys. the efi var error is due to secure boot.

I am not trying to open Unraid in a VM using Proxmox. My Unraid server will not boot Unraid. I only used a Proxmox install USB to see if I could get to the installtion page.

issues still the same efi vars is a courpted USB on physical Machines where secure boot doent' acept the efi data.

Turn off secure boot in bios.
