Correct way to use Unraid specified colors on a <span>

Featured Replies

I have some text that I want to set on a <span> element in one of my .page files and use the recommended Unraid variants and I am testing with Unraid 7.2-beta2. I want to use the recommended method of using Unraid specified colours with a fallback colour.

I tried using

<style "color:blue; color:--orange-500" markdown="1">

but this always comes out as blue rather than the --orange-500 colour I wanted.

I checked that I was correctly specifying a fallback colour by using

<style "color:"blue; color:orange markdown="1">

and this came out as orange

I am obviously doing something wrong and I suspect the answer is going to be obvious when pointed out 😀 For instance do I have to do something special to get the Unraid specified colours to work?
