Help me with tailscale!

Featured Replies

It all started two years ago when I bought an old PC to use as my media server to store movies and media from my devices. I wanted to have remote access to my Unraid server and media. I remember trying to set up WireGuard, WOL, and other things, and it worked! But only for a couple of days, then it stopped working, and I got too frustrated to try again.

Now, I've decided to give it another shot and discovered that Unraid has built-in support for Tailscale. I followed the Uncast show videos to set up Tailscale and Jellyfin, and now I can access Jellyfin via Tailscale (directly in the Docker container). I managed to access it remotely, but the issue now is that I need full control of the server so I can power it on and off, upload new files, and so on.

I was following the YouTube guide "Mastering Tailscale installation and configuration on Unraid 7," but when I go into settings and click on Tailscale, I don't have the same interface that he shows at 7:10 in the video. Since I have very little experience with this, I'm stuck now and need help. It's been two days of trying, and I just can't get it to work. Can someone help me please? :')
