Modify Mover

Featured Replies

Hey all,

got a lot of information, but I'm stuck with this (perhaps?) little thingy: How can I modify the mover script to exclude a directory under a user share? Actually I have this configuration:

media (Usershare)

|-Filme

|-Serien

|-Jukebox  <-- Jukebox should stay on cachedrive only and have to be seen via usershare

Any hints?

Make a share or directory that doesn't move and then put a symbolic link in the share which links to this new location.

;D I'll try in a few hours when I'm at home. But I'm nearly sure it will work. Sometimes I can't see the tree in the wood... Thanks...

This isn't exactly what you want, since you want a folder in a share to not move and what I describe is about not moving shares ...

But if you are on 5.8beta or higher ("shfs: added "cache-only" share feature" from change log) then when you create a share, you can tell it to reside on cache-only.  It is an option in the dropdown when you create it.

So like I said, not exactly what you want, but you might just want to make "JukeBox" its own share vice trying to rig up the mover to do something "special" that can be accomplished within the normal framework of the unRaid GUI.

If you are still on 4.7 then I believe the approved way to tell the Mover to ignore a directory (not sure if it can be done with a user share) is to put a leading "." in the top level folder.  So again, it would need to be a folder named "Jukebox" to be ignored and not a subfolder.
