September 9, 2025Sep 9 I like to sleep my array to save energy and extend disk life but I run into an issue when connecting to the network share from my Mac. The Mac and network share experience is shocking and sometimes it hard to tell if there’s an issue or I’m just waiting for the disks to spin up.Is there a command I can call to wake all disks in the array? I’m hoping it’s something I can build on and call remotely from my Mac when the user logs in
September 9, 2025Sep 9 Community Expert You could enable "Spinup Groups" and put all Array Disks into one Group. This means "if any of these disks is spun up, the others are waking up too".But beware! My experiences with this feature are a bit painful. Waking up works well, but going to sleep again seems to keep one drive of the group always on here.I have tried several times, never got it to run correctly. But maybe I was too stupid and you are more lucky?Give it a try.Cannot hurt or harm anything.
