After upgrading the system, the single-thread speed of the 10-gigabit connection does not meet the standard.

Featured Replies

I have two computers: one is running Windows 10 and the other is an Unraid server. Both are using X520 network cards.

My Unraid server has only one cache pool device. When downloading files, I get 10G speeds, but the upload speed drops to only 5G or even 2G.

I tested with iperf3 and found that multi-threaded performance does not have this issue, but single-threaded performance does.

Additionally, I tried version 6.9 of the system, and it worked perfectly without any problems. This issue appeared after I upgraded the system. What could be causing this problem?Thank you!

If iperf shows the issue with a single thread, it's typically a NIC (or its driver/settings), cable, switch, or client PC issue.

Hello, thank you for your reply.

I am not using a switch but connecting directly with an Ethernet cable. I tried replacing the Unraid network card with an AQC100 and MX341A, and with all other components unchanged, it works fine.

The issue with the X520 only occurs in higher versions of Unraid.@

Possibly a driver issue, or driver setting; it works fine for me with Mellanox NICs, get close to line speed with a single thread.
