September 10, 2025Sep 10 Hey,I have a question about the power off and reset buttons. I have a 1.5 year old second daughter and I found out that she really likes to press the buttons...I have a DELL 5820 server. Is there a setting somewhere where I can disable the power button functionality after startup?? Thanks in advance for any advice
September 10, 2025Sep 10 I would look at putting some sort of physical shield over the power and reset buttons.
September 10, 2025Sep 10 Does the power button do a hard power cut, or does it do a soft shutdown? If the latter you can do this:Works a treat. Make sure you realise what this means (requiring ssh / console access for reboot / shutdown -h now)(I'm still on 6.12.15 so haven't tested on 7) Edited September 11, 2025Sep 11 by Flubster Version clarification

I'll try the adjustment, the server should still be able to be shut down using the software button on the dashboard, right?
