data (Found as appdata location) - New Safe Permissions

Featured Replies

Hi All,

my data is located in a share named data.

I need to fix permissions however when I go to new safe perms I get "data   (Found as appdata location)"

Im not storing any appdata here, I think unraid is getting confused because the name is data?

Ive combed through the dockers and cant see any issues.

I can run the command to fix the permissions myself, but id like the ability to use the GUI.

If you are certain appdata is not there, you can run the stock New Permissions tool on that share.

To report the issue with the Safe Permissions tool, please use the Fix Common Problems support thread:

First time I have heard of this and many people have a share called ‘data’. Might be worth posting your system’s diagnostics zip file so we can check there is no obvious configuration issue triggering the warning.

Check each of your docker containers. Odds are that one of them is referencing /mnt/user/data for it's container path of /config. That info isn't within diagnostics due to privacy concerns

Yes, it turned out some of Sinusbots files were being detected as appdata, I moved them out and all is good.
