September 20, 2025Sep 20 For some reason, stopping the array requires the drives to spin up. Its a minor thing, but is an annoyance when I am stopping the array just to shut down the server for maintenance. Does stopping the array actually require Unraid to access all drives?

September 24, 2025Sep 24 Unraid tracks that separately. It depends on the filesystem used on the disks, and cleanly unmounting pretty much any filesystem these days involves writing to it.
