Can no longer connect to Unraid shares from Windows 11

Featured Replies

Out of the clear blue, I can no longer connect to any of my Unraid shares. I can connect by the IP address though. Recently, I did have to reinstall Plex Server but I don't recall making any changes to Unraid shares. Attached is a diagnostic file I created this morning. Please help!

If you can connect by the IP it suggests a DNS issue, if you don't find the issue, you can always add the server IP and name to the Windows hosts file.

Recently all my Win 10 and Win 11 machines lost connectivity to Unraid shares.

Traced it down to the network type setting on windows, apparently some update

changed each from Private to Public. Resetting each Win machine to Private

restored access for me.

Still no go. I think it is a Windows 11 credentials thing and I may have to do a reinstall of Windows. Oh joy.

All fixed. I uninstalled my network adapter and reinstalled it. Also, changed encryption type on the adapter.
