NVME Predator - VPD failure - Firmware problem?

Featured Replies

I have a new unraid server I am getting setup and my nvme drive is getting a syslog failure.

The failure I am getting states the following;

" nvme 0000:02:00.0: VPD access failed. This is likely a firmware bug on this device. Contact the card vendor for a firmware update"

I tried adding " append initrd=/bzroot nvme_core.default_ps_max_latency_us=0" to the syslinus configuration, but it didn't help.

The NVME that I have is a "Predator M.2 SSD 2TB GM7000 with DRAM Cache NVMe 1.4 2280 PCIe Gen4×4 Ultra high Speed (Maximum Read: 7400MB/s, max Write: 6700MB/s) 3D NAND TLC Internal SSD Compatible with PS5 Pro - BL.9BWWR.106"

Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is usually harmless, but you can also look for a firmware update.

How do I go about updating the firmware exactly? I tried to do that before, but caused myself more problems. Would I have to download the driver firmware and drop it into the boot USB?

You would need to search for the vendor tools and firmware, if they are available.
