Replacing Failed Data Disk & Dual Parity Swap. [Solved]

Featured Replies

I have two parity drives (2TB) and one of my data disk (2TB) has failed. I would like to replace the two parity drives with new larger drives and then use one of 2TB parity drives to replace the failed data drive.

How can I do a parity swap of the two parity drives and then replace the failed data drive? I see the procedure to swap one parity drive, do I just follow that for each of the parity drive or can I do them both at the same time?

You can do both at the same time if you intend to replace two data disks with the old parity drives, that is clear to me from your post, if you only want to replace one data drive, do the parity swap for that drive first, then just update the other parity.

@JorgeB I only plan to replace the one failed data drive. So I will just proceed with the parity swap for just one parity drive and once the failed drive is replaced, I will just replace the second parity with a larger drive. Thank you for the advice.
