October 7, 2025Oct 7 I built my first unRaid server about a year ago and installed an ARC A380 from the start. Initially, I encountered an issue because Intel ARC GPUs were not officially supported until the beta 7.0 releases. Since then, I've struggled with transcoding stability in Plex. I tried two different Plex containers, but both had the same problem. I even tried Jellyfin, with similar results.A couple of days ago, I installed an RTX 5050 GPU, and everything is now working as expected. However, I had to use the open-source NVIDIA driver (thanks, Google Gemini). The current production driver didn't recognize the new 5000 series GPUs. Hopefully, they will be supported by the production version soon, and performance will remain stable.
