October 8, 2025Oct 8 My previous configuration hadUnraid 7.0Dual Parity - 2x 4tb drives3 data disks at 4tb. 5 disks total not including cache and the USB stick.I wanted to upgrade one of my parity disks to 16tb, and one of my data disks to 16tb, and keep the rest of the disks.I had a no error Parity check on the 16tb parity disk upgrade. After assigning the new 16tb disks I'm getting this message before starting my NAS.Stopped. Disk in parity slot is not biggest. Is there anything else I can try? Do I need to do a parity swap? How does it work with Dual Parity?Thank you so much!
October 9, 2025Oct 9 Community Expert Solution Each parity disk must be at least as large as any single data disk. So, you can't have a 4TB parity disk with a 16TB data disk.Personally, I don't think you have enough disks to warrant dual parity.

I think I'll end up switching to single parity, appreciate the suggestion
