I'm putting together a new build, with an ROG Maximum iX, 7700K, and a Dell Perc H310.

To start with, I'll be just using 6 drives, with the option of going to 12 eventually.

Which is a better approach? Use all 8 lines from the Perc card, or use the motherboard ports first, then start using the Perc ports, or vice versa?
