October 11, 2025Oct 11 Hi,I did have a search and look but nothing seems to match the issue I am/seem to be having.I setup a zfs_pool of 4 HDD's about 3 months ago, and recently decided to add a SSD I had laying around as a cache drive for faster file transfers and I can go do other things/turn off my main PC whilst it then sends the data onto the slower HDD's.This appears to not be at all what is happening though, everytime I set something transfering it is going straight to the HDD's, looks like it bypassing the SSD completely.I think I have the share setup correctly so that it should be using the SSD for initial transfer. I am amateur at best and I know if I dont know what im doing I should ask. Here is how things are setup and I am on 7.1.4And here is whatI am seeing when I transfer anything at all to the share, in this example I started transfering 34GB to make sure I wasnt mistaking it for using ram or something first, which only seems to grows to around 3gb for info.I do not see writes to the SSD move whatsoever even 4-5 minutes into the transfer, at which point the speed is down in the KB's......Sorry for the long post. Any help would be appreciated.Dan Edited October 11, 2025Oct 11 by Knight2339 spelling
