Hi all, for some reason my Plex docker wont start and my "mover" wont run i only have a few GB left of storeage on the cache my dockers use

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I hope you can help, for some reason ive been using TDARR to transcode my plex library so i turned off my PLEX docker and i was also copying some files to the server using unasigned drives app and it my cache drive is maxed out with over 97% i have set the mover ferquencey to hourly and tried several times to manually run the mover but nothing works

i have also tried to restart the Docker and unraid host itself and nothing is working.

the only thing i have recently messed with is making the TDARR docker yesterday which is also saying stopped working since the cache drive is maxed

Any ideas and support would be greatly appreciated

Can you provide some logs of the mover and for Plex?
The logs for the mover are under /tmp/ca.mover.tuning after you enabled it from the sheduler tabs.

You are likely to get more informed feedback if you attach your system's diagnostics zip file to your next post in this thread.

It is always a good idea to do this to allow us to see the current state of your system and so we can see logs.

Check in the share what your "Minimum free space:" is set to...

I ran into a problem where it was a very large number for some reason.

My plex database was wrecked when I changed it to a reasonable number but everything else came back.

  • Community Expert

Floor for appdata share is set higher than the free space currently available on the pool, you need to free up some space or change the floor. Since the pool is 96% full, the former will be better.

Click on the share and you will see the minimum space setting; that is the floor.

  • Author

ah thank you, it is currently 0 and not editable

  • Community Expert

It's not 0, according to the diags it's set to:

shareFloor="48838556"

Which is more than you have free on the pool, go to shares, click on appdata, and post a screenshot from that page

set it to 1, it will set it to 1 KB

Setting to a lower value will help for now, but like mentioned, your pool is 96%, so you should free up some space on it.

For the mover issue, after correcting the appdata floor, reboot to clear the logs, enable mover logging and run the mover, then post new diags and the name of the share(s) you expect to be moved.

  • Author

hi i set it to 0 but it still wont run the mover its only my main cache that is 96% my main pool is less than 80% total

According to the diagnostics the PLEXMEDIA share does not have any files on the ‘cache’ pool.

how odd how what is it full of then? i was transferring a tv series to it when it maxed out

  • Author

the only other thing i could think of is maybe the Tdarr did something as it was transcoding files in my library at the same time as copying to the plexmedia share

the transcoding file i set is /temp/transcode

Post the output from: du -h -d 1 /mnt/cache
