[SOLVED] Flash Registration Keys

Featured Replies

I just bought the Plus flash registration keys and was kind of expecting the keys to be e-mailed to me.  Do I really have to wait for them to be "snail mailed' -- USPS -- to me?

Patience Grasshopper... I'm sure they'll be emailed shortly :)    But it is a holiday weekend and we are talking humans involved.

Mine just took hours, but I did order them during business hours, not at 7pm on a holiday weekend :)

They are human generated, and human emailed ..

Thanks for the reply.

I have another quick question if you don't mind:  Once I get the key and apply it to the flash device, can I then at a later date reformat the flash device, copy over a fresh copy of the unraid server to it, boot it up, and reapply that key?

Thanks for the reply.

Absolutely.  I've done that several times.  The key(s) will be tied to the GUID of the Flash device -- (the GUID you provided) -- and the GUID is a "Globally Unique ID" and never changes for that flash device.  So you can start over, reapply the key, all you want.

The only restriction is that if you get multiple keys, that only one key works on one given GUID flash device.
