Windows 11 credential not allowing access to one drive.

Featured Replies

I have been converting my secondary older server from RS to XFS, I have done successfully all but one (Disk 4), it appears Windows 11 credential manager is refusing my credential access to Disk 4 only.

Previously access in Windows 10 was not an issue, the Tower is running Unraid 6.12.3 and I have attached a diag file hopefully someone could analyse for any clues as to why.

Thanks

T.T.

The real problem is often figuring out what set up these additional controls in the first place. (With User Shares, the New Permissions tool will usually fix the problem. I am not sure if it will for Disk Shares...)

Make sure that you notice this switch for the ls command:

It might show more of what is happening...

EDIT: Should have check first before posting. The '-e' switch is not implemented in Unraid's Linux disto!

You can try running the new permission tool on that disk; it should fix them, but make sure there's no appdata there.

Am I able to run the New Permission tool just on Disk 4 without the rest of the other drives? I do not see a folder on that drive called appdata.

Yes, Pick disk and use the Dropdown list as shown below:

I have run the new permissions tool on Disk 4, sadly the + is still present after rebooting and running the ls command

Try setfacl -b /mnt/disk4

Here is a post from another Unraid user with this problems and his solution:

Be aware that this will fix the condition for now but be forewarned that the problem may return. Something (client, VM or Docker container) set up the ACL and it may do it again.

Applied this, rebooted server, checked the ls + removed access gained.

Thank you.
