May 26, 201214 yr I built my unraid systeem using an Antec 1200 full tower case. It's stored under my computer desk, and it currently has 9 drives in it, so about half way full. It's already becoming so heavy, that moving it is kinda of a hassle. I'm afraid after few more drives inside the damn thing, it'll be so heavy that I'm going to break it when I have to move it add drives or clean under the desk. I figured I'd get me CPU stand (or whatever the hell they're called) with wheels, so it'd be easier to move around. All I'd have to do is unlock the wheels, and easily pull it from under the desk. Then I started looking around, and it seems as if the product selection is severely lacking. Most of the cpu stands look like toys. I'm not at all sure they'd hold the weight. Anyone have any good experiences with any particular solution? I'll even take an Ikea hack at this point...probably not that bad of an idea, to be honest.
May 26, 201214 yr I'm thinking of getting this one for my server that has 20 drives in it, I think it's rated for the weight: http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product3.php?id=NzA1MTk0 Antec LanBoard

May 28, 201214 yr How about a piece of wood and some hardware store casters? Five minutes with a drill and you'll be all set.

May 28, 201214 yr Author How about a piece of wood and some hardware store casters? Five minutes with a drill and you'll be all set. That's what I'm going to do, actually. Getting locking casters, and a wooden storage shelf later today. Gonna put five casters under it, one in each corner and one in the middle to make sure the weight doesn't buckle the thing in the middle.
