I noticed that the backup I have on the cloud is very old. I can't make a new one. It's stuck on loading.

I tried reinstalling the plugin but no change.

I think it's a known issue, I see the same.

Ok, I see I'm not the only one having this issue after updating to 7.2.0. Now I need to research if there is a fix inbound.

If you absolutely need to create a backup you can go back to an older version of unraid connect generate one. You would need to uninstall the current version of connect and go back to an older one. The one that seems to be the most stable is 4.12.0 copy the plugin URL for that version and past it to the box for the install plugins. Generate the back up then update to the current version of connect.

Same here in Unraid 7.2.
In Unraid Connect it says that the backup is disabled but there is no "Enable Backup"

I'm seeing the same issue on a fresh install of Unraid v7.2.0 with Unraid Connect v2025.10.22.2003. Initially, I could not get Unraid Connect to sign in but after a reboot, that resolved. It has not been able to finish "Loading" on Flash Backup.

I'm having the same problem after updating the unraid server to the version 7.2.0. For some reason it can't create a remote backup, it remains on the spinning loading. All the other functions such as remote connect, unraid api, are up and running but the flash backup it's not working. This should be on high priority.

I am on ver 6.11.0, I know it's old but it works, however I have never been able to create a back up of my flash drive, it just churns and churns till I finally click on the DONE button and move on. Thinking about updating to 7.0.1 which is what Unraid says I need to update to, but thought I should back up my flash drive, no joy, so attempted to download the upgrade again no joy hangs up at 86% of download

With 6.11 you won't be on the latest plugin version, do a manual flash backup (click on the flash on main, then "flash backup", and then update Unraid and install the lates plugin version

After a full reboot mine is working too in 7.2.2

Rather than start working for me - the "Flash Backup:" section is just completely missing on 7.2.2 now (it was previously doing the spinning thing reported in this thread).

Do you have the unraid connect plugin installed?
If you install/remove it you have to do a completly reboot to make it working

Given that this feature is critical to proper and quick server restoration, its a very bad look for Limetech that they are not treating this bug with high priority. This is the type of bug that someone experiences a hardware failure (which we all know is inevitable with this flash drives eventually) and the user is initially thankful for having a flash backup option only to find out it has been broken for months with no notifications or warnings and their day becomes way harder and longer.

Who are the representatives for Limetech that can comment on the lack of priority and communication to users for this critical bug?

The issue is fixed in 7.2.2 so please do not overextended this topic if you do not have an issue with the flash backup even if you are on 7.2.2.

If you have other questions, that are not an issue with the flash backup, please create a new post or send an email to the Unraid support.

I don't understand what you are saying. Kindly point me to the release notes where this bug was resolved.

Obviously I do still have an issue with flash backup or I wouldn't be frustrated by this continued issue, it makes people nervous.

I am on 7.2.2 and the problem is NOT fixed.

Indeed is not written on the release note, but all the user that was having problems and myself have this feature fixed in 7.2.2.

If you still have a problem please provide information regarding it and not a "political complain" or we are not able to help you.

Do you have the infinite spinning ?

Do you not see the Unraid Backup feature?

What Unraid Connect version do you have?

Have you install/remove the unraid plugin? If you have done it have you completly reboot?

Yes, it spins for a while and then stops. Hasn't synced since August.

What? Are you referring to the Flash backup feature in the pic above? (Tip: try to avoid asking questions in the negative). I'm not trying to hijack this thread with a DIFFERENT problem, I have the same problem as listed in OP and the disabled Flash Backup in Unraid Connect cloud.

Based on the image from chitalov showing that flash backup was working but then showing a 3 month old backup is not confirmation the bug is fixed. Nor is your post showing its activated but doesn't confirm whether the backup in Unraid Connect actually backed up recently.

So are you just assuming the problem was fixed, or that since it resolved itself for one user that is must be fixed for everyone? Just trying to understand the scope of the fix since its not documented.

Not recently, but I believe so. If I did, it would have been months ago the first round of troubleshooting the issue. It's been upgraded twice with several reboots since this problem first happened.

I was meaning that you do not state in your first message that you where having still a problem with the backup.
But lets restart from scratch and sorry for bad english since is not my main language.

Has i can see from your screenshot you have a different problem, not the same of the post, since you are seeing that the backup in not up-to-date but you do not have an infinite spinning.
When you press Update button what is happening ?
It should spinning with the "Processing..." text and then pass to up-to-date.
I do not know why the other user has August in his Unraid Connect Web Page, but in my i see 30 Nov that is the last time i have made some changes to my system

The issue mentioned on this thread has been fixed for a while, as you see. If you read the messages above, and the fact that it's marked "solved", you appear to be having a different problem. I suggest starting a new thread, since this one is marked solved, and posting the diagnostics.
