Request: BIOS update package for Proliant ML110 Gen7 (J01) server (cp039720.exe or cp039721.exe)

Featured Replies

Hey Guys

I was wondering if there's anyone here who's running unraid on an old (2012) HP ProLiant ML110 Gen7 server.

I just got this server as a hand-me-down and want to run unraid on it. Looking through the server, I noticed that its BIOS was never updated and is still on the original 2012 version.

HP requires a valid service contract to provide BIOS updates (which IMO is an insane proposition) for their servers and I don't think HP provides service for a 13 year old server or if they do, I can get one at a reasonable price for this server.

Would anyone running this model have one of the following HP update files? (BIOS update dated "2019.04.04")

cp039720.exe - for 32bit windows

cp039721.exe - for 64bit windows

firmware-system-j01-2019.04.04-1.1.i386.rpm - for linux

I could not find any of these online, any FTP search engines, any forums, or available HP SPP packs or hot fix bundles.

I am at a loss as to how to acquire the latest BIOS. (I was able to find an earlier BIOS but if I can, I'd love the latest).

Thanks,
