Parity Device Disabled - help

Featured Replies

Got a 20tb hdd around month and a half ago, parity was working well since then and out of nowhere today I got errors thru notifications and logged in and saw that the parity device got disabled. Tried multiple things I've found online such as

  1. Stop array

  2. Set drive one as empty

  3. start array

  4. stop array

  5. add drive back to the slot.

  6. start and let it rebuild again.

also tried changing cables. I'm attaching my diagnostics file below for help.

Looks more like a power/connection issue, replace both cables and try again.

replaced both already, still parity disabled. I'm gonna try and get a new hba to test out.

one this before I posted here already, still keeps saying drive disabled.

At most, it can get disabled again if there are new errors; post new diags after trying once more.

There are new write errors immediately. If you have already replaced both cables, it may be a bad disk despite the healthy SMART report; replace the disk and retry.
