Help getting data off of old version

Featured Replies

I had an unRaid server over 10 years ago. Looks like it was version 4.5.4. The server had the OS on a USB drive, which I no longer have. All I want to do at this point is to get the data off of the drives. Is there any easy way to do this? I'm happy to upgrade to the latest version, but I don't think the drives in my server are in the same order they were way back then. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

TIA - Mike

You can start a new Unraid trial with a new flash drive and use it to mount the old drives, 7.2.0 can still read Reiserfs, but most likely the next release won't.

Thank you - I will try that. Is there any way that the drives can be read from Windows using a USB hard drive connector?

You would need to somehow add reiserfs support. Not sure if that is available if you enable WSL2 in Windows since it is a standard Linux file system.

Thanks for the help. I was able to reinstall 4.7 but am having issues, so I'm trying to upgrade. Have another post on that. Thank you.
