7.2 App Write Issues (Nextcloud for me) - Temporary Fix

Featured Replies

I just wanted to post this incase it helps anyone else that is seeing weird write issues in any of their containers. This showed up for me in Nextcloud. After my upgrade to 7.2 I was suddenly unable to upload any files in the webui of Nextcloud or sync. After a lot of unsuccessful troubleshooting at the Nextcloud level I saw a post of someone seeing a similar write error with a separate app. Running the command zfs mount -a in the unraid CLI fixed all of my issues. Unfortunately it seems to come back randomly so I set that as a user script to run hourly. Hope a fix will come soon.

Thanks! I just updated to 7.2.0 and my Nextcloud AIO container was down after a backup this night. And this was the fix!

Before running the zfs mount -a command I got an error when running touch /mnt/user/nextcloud/test.txt

Thanks a lot for posting this workaround! I started losing write permission to all my shares intermittently after updating to 7.2. All Doker apps that need to write to shares were not able to. It is very frustrating when your entire server becomes read-only with no indication that it happened, and a bunch of apps just starting to throw random errors at you... I hope we will get a permanent fix soon, and I hope someone at Unraid is looking at this problem.

I was going mad trying to figure out why this was happening to me. Did what you said and now the problem went away. How in the heck was such a major bug missed especially after a long RC period of testing...

Damn I was trying to search for this issue but couldn't find it and yes its the same issue! Thanks for this workaround I have setup an hourly user script.. first big issue after an upgrade I have had in well years haha.

Are the team aware?
