May 28, 201214 yr Greetings, I've been using the server below for almost 2 years. However, over time I noticed that the time I spend collecting / organizing / etc. media and the time I spend enjoying that media were disproportionate. I have since just used Apple TV / Netflix / iTunes to fill my needs and I'm thinking that someone else may enjoy this server more than I am. I built this in August 2010 using recommended parts from somewhere on this forum. The specs are as follows: AMD Sempron 140 2.7 GHz Kingston ValueRAM 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 800MHz ASUS M4A785-M AMD785G Cooler Master Centurion 590 ATX Mid Tower Corsair CPMSU-400CX The current hard drive configuration looks like (I added an extra Cooler Master 4 in 3): 4x Western Digital WD20EARS (2.0 TB) 1x Samsung HD204UI (2.0 TB) 1x WD5000AAKS (500 MB) With one 2.0TB as the parity, this leaves 8.5TB of useable space.
