November 3, 2025Nov 3 Hello,Wanted to ask on moving my data drives from an existing Unraid server to another Unraid server I just finished putting together. The existing server currently does not have a parity drive but has five data drives. I also have 1 VM and two docker containers that's on a nvme drive in the cache pool. I want to move the data drives to the new server, however the twist here is that I have a valid USB flash drive that has the Pro license going in the SC846 chassis whereas the existing server only has the Plus license (I am not moving that USB stick to the new server). I will probably save what I need from the VM and wipe the cache drive and start new on the new system. All I would need to do is physically transfer the data drives to the new server and do a new configuration and will add a new Parity drive once all the data drives are in place. I will redo and create a new setup for the VM and containers. Does this sound right or is there a step I am missing?
