November 4, 2025Nov 4 Hey Guys,I've had this issue off and on again with the HPE Microserver where the USB boot device is not visible as a boot option in the bios. Sometimes it just works and my system runs for months without issue. But when I do a reboot I get sucked into multiple hours of trying to get it to boot again. Very aggravating...Some things I've tried:switching between UEFI boot and legacy bootrunning "make_bootable.bat" on the USB stickre-creating a completely new boot stickthis actually worked one time. I then copied my config to this new usb stick and was able to boot again. However booting a third time didn't work anymore....It's quite annoying trying to troubleshoot and eliminate variables with this server because it takes a long time to initialize the memory every time.Does anyone has some tips for helping me out here?Specs:Unraid version 7.2.0USB stick: Transcend JetFlash 4 GB USB 2.0HPE Microserver Gen10 Plus (U48)

November 6, 2025Nov 6 Author Thank for your reply @trurl . I've messed around a little bit more and ended up fixing my issue. Powerdown reboot didn't change anything unfortunately. However I ended up purchasing a few different new usb sticks and a Sandisk Ultra Flair (USB 3.0) 32 gb worked immediately...So I guess the Microserver has a preference of USB 3.0 over 2.0 when booting.
