November 6, 2025Nov 6 Hey all-I have been wanting to move all drive to encryption - i have my main pool encrypted right now but I have two cache pools that are both ZFS...I would like to move them to ZFS encrypted but I am unsure on the path without completly making a new pool- the pools are BOTH two drive mirrors, id like to flip flop one drive out and in at a time.I tried taking a drive out of the pool, formatting it as encrypted, adding it back into the pool and unraid changed it back to zfs unencrypted to match the pool settings.Anyone done this before?

It's another layer that can make recovery harder if something happens to the pool/filesystem
