May 29, 201214 yr Awoke this morning to a failure email. I have had my server up and running for a couple months now with just minor hiccups with Plex. Everything else was working fine. I read thru some of the forums and tried changing the cord that connected the drive etc. Here is the syslog from the reboot. I tried running a SMART report, but was not able to obtain in on the failed drive, only on my other two drives. Please let me know what steps I should take. Should I power down order a new drive and then install? Should I try to rebuild the failed drive with a Parity? I am pretty noob to unraid and basically built the whole thing using www.google.com and this forum. Please let me know if there is another report you would need to help and how I should obtain it. Thanks so much in advance. Rick. UNRAID Version 5.0-beta12a syslog.txt
May 29, 201214 yr Author I just ran a SMART disk Short Test from the GUI and it did not kick back any Errors. Weird.

May 30, 201214 yr Power down and check the cabling. If it still does not respond to SMART then replace and rebuild.
May 30, 201214 yr I just ran a SMART disk Short Test from the GUI and it did not kick back any Errors. Weird. not weird. the "long" / "short" tests have no output of their own. you must wait the appropriate interval, and then request a "status" to see the results.
