Folders on cache drive keep getting deleted

Featured Replies

Currently have a data share with all my media on it.

Set it up according to trash guides.

Files goto a cache drive first and then the mover moves them to the array nightly.

This has been fine for years. About a month ago I updated my cache pools to use zfs so I had to recreate the pools, etc.

However, now what I am seeing is my files get downloaded via Usenet, sonarr/radarr do their jobs and then files get moved at night to the array but I am noticing the next day that the folders have been removed as well from the cache drive so when a download kicks off the next day it errors because there are no folders to download to.

The array file structure is in tact but the cache I have to recreate daily.

I went back through trash guides and set the folder permissions and recreated but this is constantly happening and can't figure out why.

I haven't made any changes to my compose files or containers.

The only change I've made in the last month has been moving to zfs.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers.

This is a known issue that affects some users where the primary storage for the share is zfs, it's reportedly fixed in 7.2.1-rc.1. You can also use zfs mount -a as a workaround every time that happens, but I would recommend just upgrading.

ok, thanks for the info. I'll try updating and see if that resolves this issue.
