Disk disabled, unable to run SMART-test

Featured Replies

I'm pretty new to Unraid and have only a basic understanding of the NAS system i built. A little while ago I got some error messages warning me about one of my disks, but everytime i ran a check it said to be fine again. Today i checked on my array to see the disk being disabled and the contents emulated. I wanted to run a long SMART test to maybe figure out what's wrong with it and if i'll be able to fix it or if my drive is really fried. However when i start a SMART test it instantly stops saying "unknown failure".

Could anyone help me out by checking my diagnostics and pointing me in the right direction?

Disk1 needs to be replaced:

  5 Reallocated_Sector_Ct PO--CK 006 006 010 NOW 288 (0 3)

Probably has needed replacing for some time.

You should see a SMART warning (👎) on the DASHBOARD page for that disk.

Do you have Notifications setup to alert you immediately by email or other agent as soon as a problem is detected?
