November 27, 2025Nov 27 Hi everyone,i have a problem on my Unraid, some disk will randomly spin up without giving any "signal" on why.i have File Activity but it is empty, i have disabled all the docker that have access on media on those disk, but they will keep randomly spins. Not all the disk will spin up at the same time but only 1/2 will spin up.Someone has some insight on how to understand this?In the disk log i have read SMART but, as i understand, the SMART is triggered because someone spin up the disk and it is not the causemordor-diagnostics-20251127-1509.zip
November 27, 2025Nov 27 I have the same issue. Every morning at 7:20 one disk of my array and the parity drive spins up and SMART is tested. This disk is the only one in my array formated with ZFS. All others are XFS. No docker, No VM accessing the array.Somebody some Ideas ?RegardsHolger

November 30, 2025Nov 30 Author Are there any one with the same behavior? This is getting really annoying disk 1/2 will spin up/down every 30 minutes without no one using it...These seems happening after updating to 7.2.2 and having Unraid Connect Plugin working
November 30, 2025Nov 30 Community Expert The disk spins up almost exactly at the top of each hour, e.g.29 Nov 10:00:2429 Nov 11:00:2429 Nov 12:00:2429 Nov 13:00:2429 Nov 14:00:24To me this suggests there's a script, plugin or something else running hourly causing the spin-up for that disk
