May 31, 201214 yr Hello. First time post but long time reader. I've got unRAID 4.7 and I absolutely love it! It works flawlessly. I've got: SuperMicro MBD-X8SIL-F-O MB with i3 http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813182211 SUPERMICRO AOC-SASLP-MV8 I've run out of room and it kills me to buy 2TB drives. I broke down and just bought 3 more... I've currently got 9 2TB drives in total (1 parity 8 data drives). I do not use any plugins at all. I really want to buy 3TB drives instead of 2TB but been waiting too long for version 5. I'm not keen on running beta or RC software.. because 4.7 has been solid! But I can't take it anymore The only additional feature I care about is support for bigger drives, is version 5 RC3 stable enough to do this? Thanks for the help.
May 31, 201214 yr Do a search on your specific hardware on the forum to see if it triggers something, but RC3 is rocksolid for me and for a lot of other users..
May 31, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the reply. Looks like we have the same SAS Raid Controller. I'll check on the motherboard. I picked it from this site's recommended builds.
