WebGUI and data not available after upgrade from 7.1.4 to 7.2.2

Featured Replies

Hello, I tried upgrading Unraid from 7.1.4 to 7.2.2 and the WebGUI doesn't boot up anymore. I ran diagnostics and have attached them below. I also ran the following:

# zpool status
no pools available
# zpool import
  pool: storage
    id: 5873561653552954537
 state: ONLINE
action: The pool can be imported using its name or numeric identifier.
config:

	storage ONLINE
	  raidz1-0 ONLINE
	    nvme2n1p1 ONLINE
	    nvme0n1p1 ONLINE
	    nvme1n1p1 ONLINE

I've tried the same upgrade earlier, but it failed back then as well. Downgrading to 7.1.4 works, so no data is lost. Has anyone faced a similar issue? Or perhaps has an idea on how to proceed? Thanks!

The flash drive is not being correctly detected:

Dec 6 11:46:00 Pensieve emhttpd: Unregistered Flash device error (ENOFLASH4)

Try a different USB port and/or toggling any USB related BIOS settings.

Thanks for the quick reply @JorgeB !

Following your suggestion, I tried the following:

  • Change the USB port for the device - No luck. Faced the same error that you pointed out above.

  • Played around with all the USB related BIOS settings - No luck.

  • Tried re-flashing the USB drive (preserving the config/ folder) - No luck.

I ended up reverting back to 7.1.4 on the same drive and that seems to work fine. Would you have any other suggestions on what I could try? Thanks a lot for your help!

If nothing else works, it suggests a compatibility/timing issue between the new kernel and your hardware, I would recommend remaining on 7.1.4 for now, then retesting once 7.3 is out, it will use a much newer kernel, so there's a high chance it doesn't have the same issue.

Thanks a lot. I'll hold off for now.
