December 10, 2025Dec 10 HiMy parity check is estimated to take days, the rate on drives drops to 0 and shows a very low read figure of approx 3mbs, I have stopped all dockers and checked drives which seem fine, everything is working as expected apart from parity check, could someone have a look at my logs and advise accordingly Kind regardsFergin unraid-diagnostics-20251210-1005.zip

December 10, 2025Dec 10 Now it's showing issues with disks 4 and 5. Any power splitters in use? It could also be a bad/weak PSU
December 10, 2025Dec 10 Author ThanksI’m going to try new sata cables on all Hdds, I do have a few power splittersI’ll try and look at psu as well, thanks for your helpI’ll post back when I’ve changed out a few thingsFergin
December 11, 2025Dec 11 Author HiJust changed all sata cables for new, checked all power cables and removed any unnecessary power splitters, still same result, short of buying a new psu, is there anything else you could suggest, server is working normally except slow parity RegardsFergin unraid-diagnostics-20251211-1411.zip
December 11, 2025Dec 11 Still issue with disk5, could also be a bad controller, you have two, swap the disks between them and post new diags, to see where the issue follows.
December 11, 2025Dec 11 Author Thanks,The odd thing is the parity check suddenly jumped to approx 120mb/s and seems to be staying there, I’ll leave it run for now, when finished will swap disk 5 from one controller to another as suggested and post logsThanks for help Fergin
December 24, 2025Dec 24 Author HiDid some cable swapping but one of the drives has failed, replaced with new and all seems fine, so I guess it was a failing drive, thanks for your helpRegardsFergin
December 27, 2025Dec 27 Author Just an update, might help someone elseAfter swapping drive had another disappear from array, and couldn’t do a parity check kept going to zero, after messing about with cables swapping sata drives, but the bullet and purchased a new psu, which arrived today, no more problems, even failed drive has passed a quick smart test, parity rebuilding as we speak and drive which sowed errors on full test, I guess power supply as suggested can make a big difference RegardsFergin
