so i have problems with some of my dockers

1 copy of firefox

imich

when i load them they just a black screen or a white screen with the loading icon just spinning... ive tried 3 different browersers still same

ive uninstall reinstalled

ive forced reinstall

ive blown out the docker image and re installed

still same result

i deleted the 1 folder for firefox and re started it.. still blank screen

i have 2 copies of firefox running 1 works one is the blank

what is going on?? is there something else i need to delete

nothing i do fixes it

copying the working firefox docker into the not working right firefox appdata folder and load it up doesnt work.. it still wont load

is there some configuring thats changed thats buggering up things?

so i can get it to work if i set the network to bridge... but if i do custom and set the ip address or leave the ip address blank then it wont load anymore... and i have it set to iplan not macvlan if i set it to macvlan then i get a server error to load.. whats wri that

so if i set to custom BR0 that works.. or ETH0

but if its the vlans

BR0.10

BR0.20

BR0.40

it will no longer load do the diagnostics say why not?

so i narrowed it down its cuz i enable Jumbo frames and set it to 9014 as thats what my desktop pc can do and i have the switch set to 9014 for jumbo frames

and Vlans dont seem to on Jumbo Frames but the main BR0 works on jumbo frames? how do i get the Vlans to work on the jumbo frames?

On modern systems Jumbo frames gain virtually nothing from a performance perspective, and can cause all sorts of networking issues. I would recommend avoiding the problem in the first place by not trying to use Jumbo frames.

oh ok how come it doesnt give any gains really? .. here i figured i was doing something to improve things..

ya i havent been able to fix nothing everything set at 9014 and headaches i been having with unraid...

as i read using jumbo frames reduces cpu load etc.. does that not happen now a days? or was that for long ago? as i read articles you want jumbo frames set on for 10gb network.. and works on the BR0 interfaces but all the vlans under

BRO. so BRO.10 BR020 BR0.40 all bugger unraid..

its like if you enable jumbo frames unraid fails to load dockers its hosting..

but figured i was doing good enabling it... i guess later ill disable it. if its more headache then improvements

Jumbo frames were worth having when NICs were less intelligent and the CPU had to do more of the work handling the network connection. With modern NICs more is handled within the NIC itself thus the performance gain tends to be relatively negligible and not worth the complexities that using Jumbo frames introduce.

ah ok learn something new everyday... i turned off the jumbo frames and dockers started working again.. go figure eh..

i appreciate the help.. since there was real no info i could learned from...

just slowness do to windows lol
