June 2, 201214 yr I may be getting some Intel 10Gbps NICS, and would like to see the 10Gb Ethernet driver ixgbe added. I'm trying to stay with stock rather than build my own kernel these days ....
June 2, 201214 yr That would be nice to know the support is baked in for the future, have 10g ports on my switch. If Tom adds this, please share your real world experience.
June 3, 201214 yr Added in -rc4. I was wondering when someone was going to take the plunge with 10Gb ethernet
June 3, 201214 yr Added in -rc4. I was wondering when someone was going to take the plunge with 10Gb ethernet I thought final is the next version! When rc4 is coming out?
June 3, 201214 yr Final will only be the next version provided there are no more critical bugs to fix. Considering there are at least two pending problems that need to be fixed, there may be a RC5 depending on how well RC4 goes.
June 3, 201214 yr Precisely. Final will follow a little while after an RC which has no obvious faults ... whether that will be RC4 or RC14 cannot be predicted.
June 6, 201214 yr Hi Tom, While I haven't purchase unRaid yet (I've been holding out to see what 5.0-Final looks like) I was wondering what the possibilities were in adding in Myricom's 10gbe driver "myri10ge" http://myri.org/support/downloads/myri10ge.html Thanks! Dave

June 7, 201214 yr If its not to much trouble can a separate post be made so each can be marked closed/resolved/added as they come about. As Tom added the original request to rc4, and this second request will not come until rc5. If bubbaq marks this done, then your secondary request gets lost.

As Tom added the original request to rc4, and this second request will not come until rc5. If bubbaq marks this done, then your secondary request gets lost. It doesn't matter which rc the change is made in. You'll notice I dropped the digit from the name of the board. When you see a new rc, better upgrade to it. Ideally the original thread author should verify that the issue/request is now solved, but if s/he takes too long to do this, then I'll probably go in there and change the icon. Edit: I guess I need an icon for "enhancement has been incorporated" - I'll do that.
June 7, 201214 yr That's a Cool idea (icon). I was merely stating there are 2 separate feature in one post. Logically should be split, so the original could have been already mark off.
