December 22, 2025Dec 22 I installed 7.2.2 and have five 1TB drives. One I assigned as parity and the others I added to the array. They are all formatted as ZFS.I created a share and copied about 300GB to the array but it is all on a single drive.I followed the install instructions so I am not sure what to do to get the data split between the drives.I attached the diagnostics. cashill-diagnostics-20251222-0930.zip

December 23, 2025Dec 23 Community Expert Highwater Allocation is the default for good reason. It will use all disks eventually, without constantly switching disks just because one disk temporarily has more free space than another. This allows disks to spin down. It will also result in files that are written together usually staying together, so you may not have to bother with split level.
