Not able to to connect to Community Apps or download containers

Featured Replies

I had Unraid running fine a a few months ago. I changed ISP and waited to run a new CAT cable. In the mean time I build a new server tower with the same HDDs. I am now able to parodically connect to the Community Applications. When I can connect the container downloads time out.

I am not able to consistently connect to community applications. I'll remove the plugin and download again. This sometimes gives me access to the applications. When I do have access, i can not download containers.

Unraind 7.2.3

My IP matches my LAN gateway.

I can ping 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4, 1.1.1.1, Google.com, local gateway, any URL all from the terminal.

Try removing the gateway from the VLAN; typically, only eth0/br0/bond0 should have a gateway set.

This all happened before I tried adding the VLAN. The VLAN was a last desperate attempt! It has since been removed. I still have the same issues.

Community Applications show "not available".

Diags still show no connectivity, could be an external LAN issue. Try changing your DNS server to 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220 in case there's an issue with the ones you are using.

DNS Set to 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220. New Diag attached.

I'm leaning towards my ISP being the issue.

Still no connectivity; that was a long shot anyway. There's a quick test you ca do to confirm it's not an Unraid config issue: boot with a different flash drive using a stock install and all default settings, no key needed, then go to Apps and see if you can install CA.

I was able to install CA after using a new flash drive. Still was not able to install containers. Attached the diag and screenshot of the download fail.

No longer see the connectivity issue in the diags, can you install other plugins? Install a couple just for testing.

I was able to download plugins.

CA won't install containers unless Docker is running, which it wouldn't be on a new install.

Docker is running

If a new install can install plugins but not install Docker containers, it suggests an issue with your network, which could be blocking something, or the ISP.

Could a VPN be installed to possibly solve the ISP issue?

Maybe, it's not something I ever tried with docker.

I was able to add a Windows and Ubuntu VM's. I added VPNs to them both. I was able to download docker and download containers.
