January 16Jan 16 Hello everyone!I'd like to introduce Unraid Deck, a native client for Unraid built entirely with SwiftUI.With Unraid 7.2+ officially introducing the built-in API, this app is developed completely based on this internal API. In the spirit of transparency, I'd like to mention that while most of the features were implemented with AI assistance, my primary role has been code review and directing the development process.Core Features:Real-time Dashboard:Instantly monitor CPU/Memory usage, temperatures, and array health status.Custom sorting support, allowing you to adjust the display order to your preference.Multi-Server Support:Add and manage multiple servers with quick switching (Pro).iCloud Sync: Securely sync your server configurations across all your devices via iCloud Keychain (Pro).Docker Management:Full container status visibility: view running status, port mappings, mount paths, and one-click WebUI access.Quick controls: Start, stop, or restart containers directly within the App.Real-time Logs: View Docker real-time log streams (requires simple mapping configuration, Pro).Batch Operations: Support starting, stopping, or restarting multiple containers simultaneously for increased efficiency (Pro).Customization: Support custom Docker container icons (Pro).Virtual Machine (VM) Management:View running status, with one-click support for start, pause, resume, restart, or force stop.Batch Operations: Select multiple VMs to perform actions simultaneously.Storage & Shares:Array Overview: Visualize disk temperatures, parity status, and health.Share Management: View shared folder details and space usage.API Key Management:View, add, and delete API Keys and assign role permissions.System Tools:Notification Center: View Unraid system notifications.System Logs: Support viewing and monitoring system log content in real-time.Security & Privacy:Data Security: All data is transmitted only within your local network (or VPN) and is never uploaded to the cloud. API Keys are securely stored in the iOS Keychain.Biometrics: Support Face ID / Touch ID app lock to prevent unauthorized access (Pro).Multi-language Support:Full support for Chinese, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese (Brazil), and Dutch.Requirements:Unraid OS v6.12 or higher (v7.2+ highly recommended for full API support)Unraid API enabled on the serverA valid API KeyiOS device must be on a network that can access the Unraid server (LAN or VPN)Download Link: Unraid DeckOfficial Site: unraid.mccray.appThat covers the main introduction of Unraid Deck. I'd love to hear your suggestions. If there are any features you'd like to see, please let me know in the comments! If you'd like to experience the advanced features of the Pro version, you can use the promo code 2026HAPPY (valid until January 31, 2026) for a 50% discount.Screenshots: Edited March 3Mar 3 by mccray

Where would you like me to report the errors?First, you need to read the Requirements to confirm that you have met all the prerequisites. If you have HTTPS enabled, please use the correct port number. If you are using a self-signed certificate, allow insecure connections if necessary. If you still encounter any issues, feel free to contact me anytime at [email protected].

January 30Jan 30 How can I access my UR server via Unraid Deck when traveling outside of my home network. EG. https://deck.mydomain.comOf course it functions as expected when accessing the UR server from within my local network by using my UR server's IP address. However, That is totally unecessary if I am sitting at close proximity to my physical machineI should also mention that using my UR server's Tailscale IP does not function either.Thank you. Much appreciated Edited February 1Feb 1 by peterbatah edit

January 31Jan 31 I like the look of the app. One issue is that it is not reporting the temp correctly. It says its 69.0 C. I assume that is fo rthe CPU. However the CPU temp is 52.9C and there is no temp trend appearing. This is in the Telemetry section. Not sure what temp it is referencing. How do I adjust it to the correct temp sensor etc.Never mind. I hit the rescan button and now it is correct Edited January 31Jan 31 by farberm

Are you referring to the Advanced settings in the Edit Server section of the iOS app. Even if I enter my Unraid server's Tailscale IP and enable HTTPS I still get a connection error. Whereas entering my server's TS IP address into a browser takes me right to the Unraid dashboard Edited February 1Feb 1 by peterbatah

In your Unraid menu, go to Settings -> Management Access -> Use SSL/TLS. If it's set to "Strict," try changing it to "Yes" or "No." Also, if you choose "Yes," remember to enable insecure connections.

February 1Feb 1 @mccray An oversight on my part. You are absolutely right. Setting the port to 443 did the trick. Wonderful. Can't tell you how much I appreciated yout time and patience. Have a great Sunday. Peter
February 21Feb 21 Hi,first of all, great work on the app – it looks really clean and promising!I was wondering if there are any plans to add the ability to update Docker containers and plugins directly from within the app. Being able to trigger updates without opening the web UI would be extremely useful. Also, are there any plans to integrate a file explorer with basic file management features like move and copy? Even a lightweight implementation to browse shares, move files between folders, or copy data would already add a lot of value for quick maintenance tasks. Thanks again for the effort you’re putting into this project!

I'll definitely add it once Unraid supports it officially. In the meantime, I'm considering adding a lightweight Terminal (SSH) feature to the app, which might solve some of these maintenance needs, though it will require SSH permissions. For the File Explorer: I've been considering adding SMB file management! My only concern is that it requires users to set up extra credentials and permissions. However, I prefer to prioritize my roadmap based on real user feedback—so knowing that this is something you'd find highly valuable is incredibly helpful. I'll start looking into how to implement this smoothly. Thanks again for helping me improve the app!
February 27Feb 27 Hi, really nice work on Unraid Deck. The app looks clean and well thought out.Do you have any plans to make it open source, or at least open up parts of it (especially the auth/networking pieces)? I’d like to use it, but I’m cautious about giving a closed-source client access to my Unraid server and my most important data.... Edited February 27Feb 27 by MyStarserver

I really appreciate it.I completely understand your caution. Handing over credentials to your home server is a big deal, and it's smart to be careful. To be completely transparent: I do not have plans to make the app open-source. As an independent developer, my goal is to generate some income from this project to justify the countless hours I put into it and to sustain my passion for continuous development and updates. Keeping it closed-source is a necessary part of that model. That being said, I want to give you absolute peace of mind regarding your data:100% Direct Connection: The app communicates directly from your device to your Unraid server. There is no middleman, no proxy, and no telemetry on my end.Local Storage Only: Your credentials are saved securely and exclusively in your device's native Apple Keychain. I have zero access to them.Verify it yourself: I highly encourage you to use network monitoring tools (like Pi-hole, AdGuard, or a packet sniffer). You will see that the app only ever makes requests to the exact IP/hostname you enter.I know closed-source might still be a dealbreaker for some, and I totally respect that. But I hope this helps explain my position and alleviates your security concerns! Thanks again for reaching out.
March 29Mar 29 Been trying to add my server. Got many errors but have resolved most of them. Just this one left that I have no idea what it means or how to resolve it.

It’s working now although I didn’t make any changes???I can’t see any way to manage my server though. Looks like I can start and stop docker containers but there aren’t any controls for the server (array start, array stop, server reboot, etc). Maybe the app still isn’t working properly?

Maybe the app still isn’t working properly?Hi there,First off, what version of Unraid are you currently running? That specific message is a GraphQL API query error. To be completely honest, I'm not exactly sure what triggered it on your end yet, but I'm glad it resolved itself after a while.Regarding the missing server controls, you aren't doing anything wrong. Right now, a full "server reboot" is explicitly something that cannot be done via the API. As for other array and server functions, I am still exploring the API capabilities and actively iterating on the app.Up until now, my development focus has primarily been on getting Docker and VM management dialed in. I will keep exploring and adding more server-level controls in future updates!
