January 19Jan 19 hello,Today, the server shut down automatically. I have restarted it and encountered the following issue:kernel: critical medium error, dev sdf, sector 6442451112 op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x0 phys_seg 4 prio class 0kernel: md: disk5 read error, sector=6442451048i was still able to view the data on the server it self. although its a shared server so i check my files and it seems normal.normally, i will start the server on maintenance mode. then try to check the files for disk 5. i got the followingPhase 1 - find and verify superblock... superblock read failed, offset 3298534871040, size 131072, ag 3, rval -1 fatal error -- Input/output error disk mounted normally with the above error. tried to unplug and re plug the disks, changed the sata cable but no luck.i will attached the diagnostics logs tower-diagnostics-20260119-1723.zip

Or do you really just mean it crashed.1 hour ago, arka188 said:kernel: critical medium error, dev sdf, sector 6442451112 op 0x0:(READ) flags 0x0 phys_seg 4 prio class 0kernel: md: disk5 read error, sector=6442451048You need to replace disk5ID# ATTRIBUTE_NAME FLAGS VALUE WORST THRESH FAIL RAW_VALUE 187 Reported_Uncorrect -O--CK 088 088 000 - 12 197 Current_Pending_Sector -O--C- 097 096 000 - 721 198 Offline_Uncorrectable ----C- 097 096 000 - 721But first set disk5 to no device and start the array in normal mode without it, then post new diagnostics so we can see if emulated disk is mountable.
January 19Jan 19 Community Expert Just noticed you don't have a parity disk assigned. Good luck recovering disk5 data.
January 19Jan 19 Community Expert You could create a new array without disk5 then see if you can clone disk5 with ddrescue.
January 19Jan 19 Community Expert Try ddrescue https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/page/2/#findComment-525075

Good luck recovering disk5 data.Yes, I have the most important files backed up through a scheduled job on a separate server. However, it's not the most recent update. so, I plan to attempt the cloning process using ddrescue after getting new drive.16 minutes ago, JorgeB said:Try ddrescue https://forums.unraid.net/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/page/2/#findComment-525075Will try it and update the thread.appreciate your insight guys. January 19Jan 19 Community Expert Just now, arka188 said:i need to create new configYes, that would allow you to start the array with the remaining disks.
