AMD Radeon 780M iGPU Passthrough help - Win-Element M600 - Windows 11 VM

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm trying to set up a Windows 11 VM with full iGPU passthrough on my Win-Element M600 mini PC. I need the VM to use the Radeon 780M for all rendering tasks.

Hardware & Soft:

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS w/ Radeon 780M

Host: Unraid 7.0.0

BIOS: AMI SR500_P5C2V08 (Dated: 2024-07-29)

VM: Q35-9.2, OVMF, Windows 11 Pro

The Issue: The Radeon 780M is passed through and visible in Device Manager, but the VM defaults to the virtual QXL/Basic Display adapter for the desktop. When I try to force the Radeon as the primary GPU (using a Virtual Display Driver/Headless), the system becomes unresponsive or the driver throws a Code 43.

Goal: I want to disable the virtual QXL completely and have the VM boot and render everything using only the Radeon 780M.

What is the recommended XML configuration and boot parameters for the 8845HS/780M on Unraid 7.0 to achieve stable iGPU passthrough without the "Reset Bug"?

Thanks in advance!
