Fans are loud but not stupidly loud.

The server cab is in the loft so doesnt matter to me about noise, they can be as loud as they want :)

Interesting. Do you have a parity disk in this setup? If so, how long does parity check take?

Yes, it seems to me about 9am. (To check)

Maybe a typo there. 9am isn't a "how long".😉

Anyway, no need to guess. You can get the results of your last parity checks by going to Main - Array Operations and click on the History button.

I am not at home, and my server is not accesible online.
It lasts 9 hours, I'm checking tonight. (I do not speak English 😅)

Thanks. Not many doing this with USB or such light hardware. Let us know how it goes.

Hmm... 2GB of RAM... do you manually update versions?

the Update OS command fails on my brothers machine also with 2GB RAM as there is not enough /tmp space to hold both the downloaded zip file and the unpacked files.

I bought it from Amazon (US) but shipped from a different seller in Korea.  Shipping was about $31 so I had to pay higher than MSRP.  However, I did get the non Engineering Sample so I'm happy with it.  😃
