Hmm... 2GB of RAM... do you manually update versions?

the Update OS command fails on my brothers machine also with 2GB RAM as there is not enough /tmp space to hold both the downloaded zip file and the unpacked files.

I bought it from Amazon (US) but shipped from a different seller in Korea.  Shipping was about $31 so I had to pay higher than MSRP.  However, I did get the non Engineering Sample so I'm happy with it.  😃

Just upgraded my server. Signature was no longer current as I had upgraded the CPU about 2 years ago to an i7-3770 but upgrades as follows for my 8 year old server:

From This:

Lian Li Q25, Zotac H67ITX-C-E, Intel G630, 8GB Ram, 1x4TB Seagate Parity, 1x4TB + 2x3TB + 1x2TB WD Red Array, 1x2TB Seagate Array, 1x2TB Samsung Array, 1x120GB Kingston SSDNow Cache

To This:

1 x 10TB WD Parity drive shucked.

1 x 10TB WD drive

1 x 4TB WD Red

2 x 3TB WD Red

Corsair SF450 PSU (finally free'd up some space in for airflow)

1 x Kingston A2000 250GB M.2 (2280) PCIe NVMe SSD cache drive

Noctua NH-L9x65

2 x 16GB Patriot Viper Steel Series DDR4 3200MHz Memory

Intel Core i9-9900K

ASRock Z390-M-ITX/ac

Hauppauge TV-quadHD DVB (not configured yet)

Eventual plan is to upgrade the rest of the drives to 10TB or more

Current PC's in the rack:
Unraid:
Intel i7 3770k
Gigabyte GA-H77-DS3H motherboard

32GB Ram

1* 8TB WD Red Parity drive

1* 8TB Seagate SMR archive drive

2* 4TB WD Red

3* 6TB WD Red (Yes these are the new SMR versions)

1* 1TB Samsung SSD as cache

I plan on upgrading the PC to a Ryzen 5 3600 or similar, along with 32GB of RAM (As 2 16GB Sticks so I can upgrade to 64GB later), and something like an MSI X470 or B450-A Pro motherboard

Dell R610:
Dual Quad Core Xeon 5500's,
64GB of RAM

GT710 video card (For hardware transcoding only)

This is my Plex/Airvideo server, along with the home automation system running Home Assistant. Once the main Unraid PC is upgraded, I'll probably move Plex over to it as well.

That's the great thing about having more air flow in than out, positive pressure that keeps dust out.

I really like the BeQuiet case line. I used it in my personal "Clu" build based on the Tron: Legacy movie

I have an R5 case and an R4 case. The R4 is very similar to the R5 in most instances. I see you used the Silverstone SST-FS303B 2x 5.25 to 3x 3.5 SATA HDD/SSD Hot Swap Cage. It looks like you put that in the 2 upper 5.5 bays. How is that fitting, and how is it working out for you? thanks.

Thought it was about time I got in on the Quick Sync thing so made a new server to replace my trusty old Ryzen 5 2600 set up (in a Be Quiet Silent Base 800 case).

Went with the following (purely used for Plex and Roonserver)....

Antec P101 Silent case
Gigabyte Z590 D motherboard
Intel Core i5-11500 CPU
Be Quiet Shadow Rock 3 CPU cooler
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200Mhz 4x 8GB
Corsair P3 m.2 PCIE Gen. 4 NVME 1TBx1

Be Quiet System Power 9 600w semi-modular PSU

Seagate Exos 16TB x5
WD 14TB shucker x1
unRAID OS Plus

Managed to follow the guides for setting up the iGPU to hardware transcode. It seemed daunting but really was a breeze.

Thanks to the people who shared the knowledge.

I'll harvest the hard drives from the old server and hopefully sell it on locally as a "just add storage and OS USB". Not sure what interest there will be in deepest Devon but we'll see. I already have

a 15 bay front loader for back ups so can't justify keeping it.
