How to disable plugin auto update on server start?

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, I’ve encountered an issue where my Unraid server attempts to auto-update plugins every time it boots up. Since my proxy/VPN runs within a container on the Unraid system itself, I don't have access to a bypass (GFW in China) until the array is actually started.

As a result, the boot process takes an extremely long time because the server is trying to connect to GitHub directly, which is very slow in my region.

Is there a way to disable this automatic update behavior on startup? Is this a native Unraid mechanism, or is it caused by a specific plugin I might have installed? Any help would be appreciated!

Stock Unraid doesn't try to update the plugins during boot; something else may be going on, maybe you have the update helper plugin installed?

I've checked and for plugins I only installed: Community Applications, Compose Manager, Disk Location, Dynamix Auto Fan Control, Dynamix Stop Shell, Fix Common Problems, GPU Statistics, LXC, Prometheus Node Exporter, rclone, Tailscale, Unassigned Devices, unbalanced, User Scripts, ZFS Master for Unraid

That helps, let me disable this plugin and see if it still happens
