DOS Utility image on the unRAID flash as a selectable menu option while booting.

Featured Replies

I've been thinking about this a while.

What we need is a FREEDOS utility Image on the unRAID flash.

On that image we need some DOS tools, fdisk, format, the label command (how many people forget to label their drives). some USB drivers to mount the USB Mass storage device. (so we can flash our bios's)

and/or use loadlin on the machines that do not support USB Booting.

I know someone is going to say, if you can't boot the USB drive, what good is a free dos image as part of the distribution?

Well once the utility image is built, a person can use rawrite to create the physical boot floppy so they can access the USB drive with loadlin. ( a built in kicker image)

Any takers up for the challenge?
