ZFS Mirror removal

Featured Replies

Heya!

I don't specially need support by now.

All I wished to know is if there was a GUI procedure to remove mirror from a ZFS pool.

Indeed, I wish to reduce my 4 VDEV ZPool (3data + 1 special/slog), to a simple VDEV mirror instead.

But the GUI doesn't show such operation in my understanding. So I'll CLI the deletion instead after many resilvering.

So I'll copy past this post in the suggestion if what I think is confirmed.

Thanks @trurl or @JorgeB

3 data, do you mean a 3-way mirro? Best to post the diagnostics or zpool status to see the current pool config.

No-no, I meant a 3 mirrors stripped. Another Special mirror and a last Slog mirror. I did a mistake as thinking about future OpenZFS 2.4 Special/Slog.
However, i'll be simpler with this.

There's currently no GUI support to remove a mirrored vdev or subpools, you would need to use the CLI and then reimport the pool.

That's indeed what I've done this morning, I'll submit a GUI suggestion, ty.
