HBA Connected Devices Failing

Featured Replies

I recently bought a LSI 9300-16i HBA card. I plugged three 8TB HDDs into it. Plug-and-play. They spun right up and seemed fine for about a week. Now all three devices are getting constant read errors all at the exact same time. I've swapped out the power supply cords to the drives but after a reboot the problem comes back overnight. I'm super confused why it would work for a week and then won't stay steady for more than a couple hours. All devices plugged directly into the MOBO have no issues at all. It is only the HBA connected devices.

HBA problem, you can try a different PCI slot if possible, BIOS update or disabling some power-saving features in the kernel might also help.
