[SOLVED] SATA-port-error please help

Featured Replies

My syslog fills up with ata3 errors, please see attached syslog.

It is a test-built with the cache and parity disk as RAID-volumes on a Areca 1200 controller and only one data disk.

I can access the data on this data disk.

Is it a bad port or cable?

Mod edit:

Added [sOLVED] to thread title.

Could be a loose connection, bad cable, bad port, bad enclosure. The syslog does not indicate which disk is having the problem. First power down and reset the disk connectors. If the problem persists then disconnect one drive at a time to determine the which one is having problems.
